Before leaving any role we would advise anybody who is unhappy in their role or who feels they deserve more than they currently receive, to approach their employer and discuss their concerns.

Requesting a change in salary can sometimes be handled in a negative way causing a breakdown in the employer/employee relationship and a negative impact on the individuals working environment.

However this is not always the case and a successful salary negotiation that has been handled constructively can be a more satisfactory conclusion than moving to a new company.
