After the successful introduction of candidate to a Chartered Accounts firm in Bristol by one of our Consultants, we were provided with the following testimonial which best outlines our approach to customer service:
I was first contacted by Definitive at a point where I was not really looking to move. At the time it had been indicated to me that promotion was a realistic opportunity and I indicated to the consultant that I had given a six month timescale for my employer to not harass, identify unsuitable positions or persistently call during that period. Instead, he did what he said he was going to do and called six months later.
In the meantime, events at work had all but blocked off any short-term prospects, and I had decided that I couldn’t wait any longer. I explained to the consultant what act. The consultant agreed to contact me once this time was up. To his credit he did I wanted, and he duly lined up suitable positions that fitted with my expectations, rather than anything available. It was also very much a case of ‘go and see these people and see what you think’ rather than a hard sell. He was always concerned in ensuring that I was happy with the opportunities passed my way.
After a number of meetings, the shortlist was achieved, and even at this stage, the consultant acted as a sounding board, an organiser and communicator (I knew where I was every step of the way) – at no point did he say ‘I think you should take this position’ – the decision was always mine. And for that I was grateful. It allowed me to take my time and, I’m happy to say, to make the right decision.
Definitive were the most professional recruitment consultants I have come across in my career. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to take their time and make sure they make the right decision between a number of suitable positions. I say this because they will identify those positions which fit with your criteria and he will take the time to speak to the relevant firms about what they want, as well as what you want, so that you fit their criteria from the outset.
One final thing. I had been with my old firm for 15 years and was extremely uncertain about moving. The fact that it was handled so professionally meant I had as little worry and stress as possible. I really couldn’t have asked for more.
